Challis man sentenced for 2018 murder

Mark Charles Wilson has been sentenced to a determinate 30-year prison term for the first-degree murder of 75-year-old Pat Brown. Wilson appeared before Seventh District Judge James Barrett in Challis Monday.

Brown was found shot to death on March 24, 2018 at a home she shared with Wilson in Challis.

A Jefferson County jury found Wilson guilty after a trial that ended June 5 in Rigby.

Wilson was given credit for 502 days he already served while being held in jail prior to trial.
