Motorcylist hospitalized after crash on I-15

Air ambulance transported a motorcyclist to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center after a crash in Dubois Tuesday around 8:02 a.m.

Idaho State Police investigated the crash southbound Interstate 15 at the 167 off-ramp.

59-year-old Lee Backus of St. George, UT was traveling southbound on I-15 on a 2013 Suzuki motorcycle.

Backus left the roadway and lost control of the vehicle and was ejected off the motorcycle.

ISP reports Backus was wearing a helmet.

The crash is still under investigation at this time.
