Ohlson loses sentence reconsideration bid

Convicted killer Erick Ohlson has lost his district court bid for reconsideration of his 25-year prison term for the 2016 murder of Jennifer Nalley and her unborn child near Driggs.

Ohlson’s attorneys questioned the court’s discretion at sentencing and the judge’s decisions on mental evaluations in a court hearing last month.

But, in a decision published Thursday, Judge Bruce Pickett denied Ohlson’s motion for reconsideration.

Ohlson’s Idaho Supreme Court appeal is continuing.
