REXBURG, Idaho Falls (KIFI/KIDK) - After 11 days of not accepting Medicaid for the upcoming semester at Brigham Young University Idaho, the school administration has reversed its decision and will now accept Medicaid.

The school released a statement Monday night saying in part, "The well-being of our students and their families is very important to us. We are grateful for the feedback we have received from our campus community and for the input of the local medical community. We apologize for the turmoil caused by our earlier decision."

The school continues to say that the Health Center on campus has not been a Medicaid service provider and that will continue to be the case.

Students with questions about their medical coverage or services should make an appointment to consult with the Student Health Center staff at (208) 496-9330.
