One killed, 2 injured in highway crash

IDAHO FALLS, Id (KIFI)- UPDATE:-

A Rigby woman was killed after a head-on crash on U.S. 20 near milepost 311, east of Idaho Falls, at around 11:45 a.m. Saturday.

Idaho State Police said Laura Ansley, 34, was driving westbound in a 2012 Honda Civic. Her car went off the left shoulder, across the median, and struck an oncoming 2019 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Victor Echeverria, 34, of Rigby.

Ansley was not wearing a seat belt and died of her injuries at the scene of the crash.

Echeverria and his passenger, Amanda Echeverria, 37, of Nampa were transported by ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

The crash, which partially blocked the highway for 2 1/2 hours, is under investigation.


Update: All lanes of travel are clear, according to the Idaho State Police, who announced to update just before 2:30 PM.
