Bandits open home schedule with doubleheader sweep against Blackfoot

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho Falls Bandits are putting together a win streak, and they extended it to six games Friday by sweeping Blackfoot 10-4 and 25-0 in a doubleheader to begin the home schedule.

Game one was a close battle until the Bandits scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth to turn a 4-3 deficit into an 8-4 lead they wouldn't give up.

Game two, meanwhile, was all Idaho Falls from the start. The Bandits scored 11 runs in each of the first two innings to mercy rule the Broncos 25-0.

Among many great performances, Eliot Jones had an outstanding day. Jones went 6-for-7 across both games with two home runs, four total extra-base hits, seven runs scored and 10 RBI.

Next up, the Bandits head to Canyon Ridge for a doubleheader Thursday beginning at 5:00 p.m.
