Despite an incredible comeback, Chukars lose 11-10 to Great Falls in a knockout round

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - An unbelievable 9th inning comeback to force a knockout round ultimately fell short for the Idaho Falls Chukars Thursday night in an 11-10 defeat.

The Chuks entered the bottom of the 9th inning down 10-5, but Idaho Falls rattled off hit after hit to close the deficit to two. Then, with a runner on third and two outs, Hunter Hisky tied the game with a two-run home run to force a knockout round.

However, Colin Runge hit the only home run in the knockout round to win it for Great Falls, keeping the Chukars two games back of a playoff spot with eight games to go.

Next up, game two of the final homestead of the season continues Friday night at 7:05 p.m.
