WATCH: Cleanup begins after heavy rain/hail hits Eastern Idaho

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Street flooding has subsided and streets are back open after a heavy downpour hit eastern Idaho Tuesday evening.

A severe thunderstorm seemed to follow the I-15 corridor from Pocatello to Roberts dumping 1 to 2 inches and some areas possibly 3 inches of rain and hail. Storm warnings began around just around 5 p.m.

Street flooding was reported heavily in several areas, including Chubbuck, Blackfoot and Idaho Falls.

The underpasses in Idaho Falls at Sunnyside and 17th, D Street and E-Street were flooded. Several vehicles had to be rescued from the deep water.

Several buildings and homes are cleaning up today flooded by the rushing water.
