3 things to know this morning – November 9, 2023

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Here's what you should know to start your Thursday.

1. Idaho Fish and Game is seeing more Chronic Wasting Disease in the state. A positive case of the disease was discovered in a mule deer 7 miles south of New Meadows, near McCall. Fish and Game is asking hunters to bring samples from animals in that area.

2. Elizabeth Cogliati is asking for a recount in the Idaho Falls School District 91 Seat 4 Trustee race. Tuesday night's results showed Shay Ricks edging out Cogliati by a single vote, 359 to 358. The elections office says the staff is still verifying the results from Tuesday night's election. Then they will get to the paperwork for the candidates that filed recounts.

3. The Salvation Army in Idaho Falls is hosting a community meal at the Elk's Lodge on Thanksgiving day with the option for home delivery. You can sign up to have a Thanksgiving meal delivered to your home by calling the Salvation Army office.
