Chad Daybell Trial Day 21

BOISE, Idaho (KIFI) - Testimony continues on Day 21 in the Chad Daybell Trial.

The first witness on the stand was Cammy Willmore, the former Fremont County Deputy Coroner. She was on the scene the morning of Tammy's death.

Willmore talked about her concern about the pink foam coming out of Tammy's mouth.  But waited to do anything that morning until coroner Brenda Dye arrived.

Cammy Willmore: “She also wiped the foam out of her mouth at that time, which I wanted to do that didn't do because I wanted her to see that but as soon as she liked that away it came again with in just a very short time, which I remember feeling like That was weird. And this phone was something that bugged me because the way it presented, so I looked up poisoning. Like when I was there, I just pulled my phone up and started looking at that to see if there was something about poisoning that could cause that.”

Next on the stand was Tammy Daybell’s brother-in-law Jason Gwilliam. He was close with Chad before this case.

Gwilliam talked about how Chad's religious beliefs started becoming more extreme and the stories he was telling about his visions kept changing. He also talked about when he found out Chad had married Lori so quickly after Tammy's death.

Prosecutor: “Did Chad ever ask you to do anything about this information that he'd been married.

Jason Gwilliam : “You know what he did, share that information with me. The one item that was a little surprising was that he asked me not to tell anybody.

Prosecutor: “Did he say anything about how his kids had reacted to the marriage?

Jason Gwilliam: “He did.

Prosecutor: “What did he say?”

Jason Gwilliam: “He informed me that his kids knew that he was going to be getting married before he went to Hawaii.

Prosecutor: “And how, what was your thought at that point?

Jason Gwilliam: “My thought was and I did ask him, How do they keep that a secret? And one of the answers the answer troubled me because he said, my kids are good at keeping secrets.”
