Fast times tonight at Rexburg Classic Car Show and 70s Fashion Show

REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) – It’s the first day of Rexburg’s Flood 50 week-long celebration honoring the 50th Anniversary of the day the Teton Dam burst.

The disaster on June 5, 1976, inundated the Upper Valley with 80 billion gallons of water.

Rexburg is honoring the milestone with a blast to the past – hosting a Classic Car Show tonight from 5 to 8 PM on Center Street.

The evening will culminate with a ticketed 70s Flashback Fashion Show tonight at 7 PM at the Romance Theater.

Downtown walking tours are available every day this week from 10 AM to 4 PM.

You can pick up a map at City Hall to relive the path of the flood.

Daily service projects are also being hosted by the Madison County, Brigham Young University-Idaho and the Kiwanis Club.

On Saturday, the week culminates with a "Celebration of Service" at BYU-Idaho Center.
