Injuries reported in US-26 crash east of Swan Valley

SWAN VALLEY, Idaho (KFI) — Multiple agencies responded Friday morning to a two-vehicle crash on westbound Highway 26 near Palisades that resulted in confirmed injuries, according to the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office.

The collision occurred shortly after 8 a.m. near mile marker 397.5 at Grandma Lane, just east of Swan Valley. Responders from the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office, Idaho State Police, Swan Valley Fire, and Lincoln County, Wyoming, were called to the scene.

Sgt. Lovell with the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office confirmed that two vehicles were involved and that injuries were reported at the scene. However, the exact number of victims and the severity of their conditions have not yet been released.

Sgt. Lovell noted the scene has since been cleared; however, the Idaho Transportation Department advises drivers traveling through the area to expect minor residual delays and continue to exercise caution.
