POCATELLO/REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) — Two Canadian nationals living in eastern Idaho have been charged in federal court with unlawfully voting in the November 2022 general election, U.S. Attorney Bart Davis announced in a news release today.

According to federal court records, Taralynn Kathleen Bosco, 48, of Rexburg, and Stanley Richard Walton, 82, of Chubbuck, each cast ballots despite lacking U.S. citizenship. On October 7, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Idaho filed separate criminal charges against both individuals.

Bosco and Walton are scheduled to make their initial court appearances on October 26, 2026, before U.S. Magistrate Judge Debora K. Grasham in Boise.

If convicted of voting by an alien, each defendant faces up to one year in federal prison and a fine of up to $100,000, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

U.S. Attorney Bart Davis commended the work of the Idaho State Police and Homeland Security
investigations that led to the charges.
