IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - Idaho Falls Police are investigating reports of gun shots being fired in the parking lot of the Hurricanes Night Club at 888 North Holmes Saturday night.

Officers were called to the bar at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. By the time officers arrived on the scene, all of the involved parties had left the area.

Witnesses told police that a group of people and, specifically, a man and a woman, were involved in an altercation outside the bar.  The woman tried to leave in a vehicle, and the man tried to enter it.

According to reports, another person, who was not involved in the original altercation, shot a gun once or twice into the vehicle.  All of those involved then left the area.

Police looked for evidence of gunfire, including shell casings or bullet holes, but nothing was found.

The woman involved was located and she did not sustain any injuries from gunfire. Police say the man involved in the argument and the alleged shooter have not been located.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Idaho Falls Dispatch at 208-529-1200. Information can be shared anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 208-522-1983. Successful tips may be eligible for a cash reward.
