Highland marching band gifted new uniforms after fire

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - Highland High School lost the majority of its band uniforms in the school fire last April.

In a partnership with American Falls High School and Northview High School in Rapid City, Michigan, 150 used band uniforms were donated to the Highland marching band.

All three schools happen to have the same matching colors.

The donation has had an impact on the kids and the band director.

"The excitement on the kids faces that that was priceless because, you know, they tried them on. And to see them, you could tell that there was a sense of pride in that. But I think what what what I loved the most was was the reaction from their teacher, Andrew Wilson, who was you could tell he was he was he was emotional over it," American Falls band directors Brian Leisher and Robbie Hanchey said.

Highland High School was concerned about missing competitions, but the donation has allowed them to continue marching on.
