Idaho Falls Public Library to cover additional Overdrive/Libby service fee for Bonneville County residents

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho Falls Public Library announced Monday it will be covering the additional fee for Bonneville County residents to continue using its Overdrive/Libby services.

Those not living within Idaho Falls City limits will still have to pay the base $120 per year per family to get a library card to use any of the library services.

The nonresident library fee will now include the Overdrive/Libby services with no additional charges.

Decisions to include Rosetta Stone and LinkedIn Learning in this change are still in discussion.

The City Library Board decided to allow the option for nonresidents to pay the fee in $20 payments over six months instead of paying the fee upfront.

This change starts October 1.

As for Idaho Falls City residents, nothing will change regarding access to library services.
