Local News 8, Chief Meteorologist Michael Coats honored at ISBA Awards

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho State Broadcasting Association, or ISBA, held its annual award ceremony over the weekend.

'The Best in Broadcasting' awards honor broadcasters in Idaho for their outstanding work.

Out-of-state judges rank the entries received from radio and TV stations across the state.

For the 2022-2023 year, KIFI Local News 8 received the "Best Local Newscast" award, and our Chief Meteorologist Michael Coats was recognized for having the "Best News Weather."
