High school students get resume-building experience preparing for Warren Miller screening

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho Falls High School Ski Club is hosting this year’s 74th annual Warren Miller Ski Film this month.

Warren Miller’s annual ski and snowboard films are nationally recognized. The screening will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27 at the Frontier Center for Performing Arts.

The Ski Club is led by students from Idaho Falls, Skyline and Compass Academy High Schools.

Stukent, an Idaho Falls Ed-Tech leader, is sponsoring the event. With Stukent’s help, the Ski Club’s members are getting unique resume-building experience in business, marketing and event planning.

“If we do this the next couple of years,” Ski Club president Cooper Adams said. “I can say I’ve raised over $50,000 putting on events in my high school career, and that will appeal to colleges.”

The screening event will kick off the ski season and include a raffle with prizes. The money raised will help make it less expensive for the Ski Club’s members go on more trips. For ticket information, visit eventbrite.com.
