Man found in motorhome arrested for murder

UPDATE Jan. 13, 2024: IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Idaho Falls Police said Saturday morning they have arrested a man who is connected to murder in Montana.

Police were tipped off by a call into dispatch saying a motorhome on Wardell Avenue looked like the same motorhome wanted by police in Bozeman, Montana.

Police said Chris Foiles, 42, of Spokane Washington, was inside the motorhome parked on Wardell Avenue Friday. They found evidence suggesting Foiles was involved with the murder and arrested him. He is now being held in the Bonneville County Jail.

Investigators say they need help from the public about Foiles movements between December 15th and January 12th. Anyone who saw Foiles or the motorhome pictured over the past 4 weeks is asking people to report it to the Idaho Falls Police Department by emailing IFPD Detective Reed at Creed@idahofalls.gov or calling the non-emergency dispatch line at (208)529-1200. The motorhome is a 1973 tan motorhome with obvious damage to the rear driver’s side and a red stripe down the side. At some point in the last 4 weeks, the stripe was painted blue.

Wardell Street was blocked off from approximately 12:30 – 5:30 p.m. for the investigation to take place.

Police said additional information is expected to be released at a later date, when appropriate given the progress of the investigation.

The scene is located on Wardell Ave.

Jessica Clements, PIO for Idaho Falls Police Department, told Local News 8 they don't believe there's any threat to the general public.

The investigation is ongoing.
