Student makes threat against Taylorview Middle School

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - A potential safety threat at Taylorview Middle School forced administrators to lock the doors as a precaution.

Administrators said they learned of a student who made a threat against the school this morning and put the school in a hall check status. They said a hall check is designed to protect against outside dangers. Doors are locked and students and staff are kept safely inside the building.

School leaders worked with Idaho Falls Police Department and determined the student who made the threat was not at school. They located them and took them into custody. Idaho Falls police are now investigating. They said appropriate disciplinary action will be taken as needed.

They didn't say how school officials learned about the threat.
