Semi-truck hits Northgate Mile underpass, blocking road

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - A semi-truck hauling another semi-truck overturned in the Northgate Mile underpass near F-Street just before noon Thursday.

The southbound traffic was diverted.

Idaho Falls Police report the 18-wheeler was hauling a semi-tanker south on Northgate Mile when the top of the tanker collided with the bottom of the bridge. It caused the semi-tanker to tip over and block the road.

Union Pacific Railroad workers were seen inspecting the bridge after the collision.

No one was injured and no other vehicles were involved.
