CarFit helps seniors to feel more safe in their vehicles

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - AAA partnered with the Occupational Therapy program at Idaho State University to help seniors out on the road. They will give any elder who pulls up a chance to learn more about their safety features and help them feel more comfortable with driving.

The event will be held on September 30th at the northeast corner of the Holt Arena parking lot from 10am until 1pm.

Each student will able to provide much needed safety information and corrections for several senior citizens. Each session will be 20 minutes long. During this time, ISU students comfort everyone by learning how to use their safety devices. They will help to provide the correct amount of space between the driver and the steering wheel, how to properly use a seat belt, and how to set head restraints.

Each expert gave away a AAA blanket to each of the seniors.

If you want to book your spot in advance, you can call (208)-282-2590.
