9-year-old survives being buried in snow that fell from roof

ISLAND PARK, Idaho (KIFI) - A 9-year-old survived being buried in the snow that fell from a roof in Island Park Wednesday afternoon.

The girl was buried in about eight feet of snow on Aspen Ridge Road.

Fremont County Sheriff Len Humphries says the surrounding community immediately sprung into action and began digging.

The girl was taken to Madison Memorial Hospital and later released.
