More EV charging stations coming to Idaho

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - More EV charging stations are coming to Idaho. 

The State of Idaho just announced federal approval of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program.

Under the program, Idaho receives $30 million.

Right now, a study is being put together in efforts to decide the best locations for new charging stations. 

Officials say this is not only good for those with eclectic cars but Idaho as a whole. 

"Purpose of which will help facilitate interstate travel through Idaho with really a goal towards a couple of primary goals. Number one, facilitating interstate travel through Idaho to boost tourism opportunities and economic development at the local level."

He says the number of EV car registrations continues to grow across Idaho.

So how many EV stations are they planning to build in Idaho?
