2 vehicle injury accident west of Filer

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Police are investigating a two-vehicle injury crash that occurred on Thursday at 5:36 p.m. at the intersection of US 30 and N 1900 E, Twin Falls County.

According to Idaho State Police, a 19-year-old Filer man was driving northbound on 1900 E in a 1986 Toyota pickup, when he came to a brief stop and failed to yield to traffic traveling on US 30. A 24-year-old Buhl woman was traveling westbound on US 30 in a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and collided with the Toyota. The driver of the Toyota was transported to a hospital in Eastern Idaho by air ambulance. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to a local hospital by personal vehicle.

The driver of the Toyota was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the Chevrolet was wearing a seatbelt.

US 30 was blocked for approximately two hours to allow emergency personnel and law enforcement to investigate and clear the scene. Idaho State Police was assisted by Filer Fire Department, Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office, Buhl Police Department, Magic Valley Paramedics and Air Saint Luke's.
