3 hospitalized after crash east of Twin Falls

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Police are investigating a vehicle collision that occurred on Wednesday at approximately 1:18 PM, on US30 at milepost 222.5, east of Twin Falls.

According to Idaho State Police, a 40-year-old Kimberly woman was driving northbound on 3400 East in a 2023 Subaru Legacy, and a 24-year-old Malad City woman was driving eastbound on US30 in a 2022 Jeep Compass. The driver of the Subaru Legacy failed to yield from the stop sign at the intersection of 3400 East and US30, colliding with the Jeep Compass.

The driver and a juvenile passenger in the 2023 Subaru were wearing seatbelts. Both were transported by air ambulance to a local area hospital. The driver of the Jeep Compass was wearing a seatbelt and was transported to a local area hospital by a personal vehicle.

The intersection of US30 and 3400 East was blocked for approximately 2.5 hours.

The Idaho State Police was assisted by the Twin Falls County Sheriffs Office, the Kimberly-Hansen Police Department, the Rock Creek Fire Department, the Twin Falls Fire Department, Magic Valley Paramedics, Air St. Lukes and the Idaho Transportation Department.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
