Car speeds by bus as students cross

BINGHAM COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI) - A close call with two young students in Bingham County has the Snake River School District telling drivers to pay attention.

The Snake River School District sent video to Local News 8 showing two students trying to cross the street to board their bus as a car speeds by just seconds after the children are out of its path.

Drivers are supposed to stop when you see the sign lit up on the school buses.

The Snake River School District says they released the video to raise awareness about distracted driving reminding drivers not stopping for a school bus arm carries hefty fines.

In this case, the car was going too fast, and they couldn't get a read on the license plate.
