SODA SPRINGS, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - Caribou County is celebrating its official Centennial, marking its initial break from a super-large Bannock County 100 years ago.

As part of the observance, Soda Springs businesses are featuring large vinyl, historic pictures of the community in the store fronts.

Caribou County Historical Society Vice-President Craig Shuler said there are 28 different pictures featured throughout town.  Brochures outlining what to find and where to find them are available at the Soda Springs Geyser downtown at no charge.

That's the "captive geyser that shoots higher than Old Faithful" according to one of the pictures.
