Canal culvert replacement begins Monday
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - Cannon Construction will begin work to replace the 12th Street Idaho Canal Culvert on Monday.
The culvert is located on 12th Street between Southeast and Southwest Bonneville Drives in Idaho Falls.
The contractor plans to work Mondays through Fridays. The bridge and associated intersections will be closed until the project is complete late next spring.
The intersections to the east and west of the bridge will also be under construction to replace sidewalks, driveways and pavement.
Vehicles will be diverted north to the 9th Street Bridge. A pedestrian crossing will be available just south of the 12th Street Bridge.
