Power outage overloaded Pocatello emergency lines
POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI)-UPDATE:-Idaho Power Company said a power outage occurred at around 11:27 a.m., affecting an area between Oak Street to West Quinn Road and from Yellowstone to Hawthorne.
A large fuse, designed to protect surges into the rest of the power system, was activated for unknown reasons. Power was restored about 25 minutes later.

Pocatello Police say a power outage has resulted in an over-run of its 911 emergency lines.Â
Police are asking the public not to use 911 to report the event.  Other emergency calls should use the 911 service.
If driving, be extra cautious at intersections with non-functioning traffic signal lights.
