Community Food Basket accepts Subaru donation

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI)-Community Food Basket Idaho Falls has received a $6,100 donation through the Subaru “Share the Love” event.   Subaru donates $250 to charity for every vehicle purchased or leased.

Food Basket director Ariel Jackson said both the food basket and Subaru are “Feeding America” partners, which is a network of more than 200 food banks and pantries that help feed those in need.

“Today’s generous donation is a wonderful reminder of the kindness of our local patrons,” says CFBIF Executive Director Ariel Jackson. “We’re grateful that such a well-respected brand like Subaru cares about fighting food-insecurity and the leadership of our local dealership has made it possible for our nonprofit to be included in their donations,” she continued.

Today, the food bank is feeding up to 2,000 local families per month.
