Jefferson County planners consider subdivision requirements

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI) - The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners will be holding a public hearing on May 21 at 9:00 a.m. on proposed subdivision ordinance amendments.

The meeting will be located in the Commissioners Room of the Courthouse Annex at 210 Courthouse Way, Suite 240.

At the meeting, the Board will consider whether to adopt amendments to the Jefferson County Subdivision Ordinance to require community waste treatment systems in all subdivisions containing more than 10 lots unless deemed unnecessary by a nutrient pathogen study or other performance-based study within the last 5 years; to require that easements for any central septic system be indicated on the preliminary and final plats; and to require a traffic study, conducted by an Idaho-licensed engineer, for all proposed and not-yet-constructed subdivisions.
