3 things to do this weekend – May 5, 2023

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Here are some events going on in your local neighborhood this weekend:

1. Horse racing is back at Pocatello Downs this weekend. The kick-off the Pocatello Downs 2023 season at the Bannock County Event Center for horse racing and the Kentucky Derby Hat Contest starts tomorrow and runs through Sunday. Gates open at 12:30 pm and admission is $5 per person. Kids 12 and under get in free.

2. In Idaho Falls, hunters and collectors can check out the Lewis Clark Trader Gun Show this weekend. The show will be held at the Bonneville County Fairgrounds tomorrow and Sunday. Doors open at 9 am. Admission is $10 a day or $15 for both days. 

3. If you're looking for a scary attraction, the Paranormal Cirque is underway in Idaho Falls. It will expose you to a unique creation of combined theater, circus, and cabaret with new European style flare. This show is recommended for ages 17 and above. They are set up by the Grand Teton Mall and tickets cost $10.
