Unexploded ordnance found on Main Street in Rexburg

REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) — Rexburg Police is asking people to avoid West Main Street between 1st East and Center Street because of what is expected to be unexploded ordnance.

Police say an item was found in a vehicle parked on West Main Street that looks like an unexploded ordnance.

Police have closed off the area and are asking anyone inside nearby businesses to evacuate.

They said there is no indication this was placed or intended as a threat to the public.
