Cherry Fire grows to 291 acres near Salmon

SALMON, Idaho (KIFI) - The GO evacuation status remains for Fourth of July drainage and Kriley Gulch area, 14 miles north of Salmon Friday morning.

The fire is estimated to be 291 acres.

The Lemhi County Emergency Management said the evacuation order will be evaluated later today.

SALMON, Idaho (KIFI)— The Lemhi County Emergency Management is telling people in the Fourth of July drainage and Kriley Gulch to evacuate because of a wildfire.

Sheriff deputies are currently making notifications in the affected areas. They do not wait for an officer to reach your property.

The Cherry Fire was first spotted around 2:45 Thursday afternoon along US 93 between Salmon and North Fork.

The latest fire acreage was 40 acres.
