Jefferson County man killed in early morning Highway 33 crash

REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) — A Jefferson County man was killed in a car crash early Monday morning.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office reported that Richard Smith, 75, died in a single-car accident at 2579 Highway 33. The accident happened at 5:12 a.m.

Smith was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. No other details have been released.
