SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say they’ve arrested a suspect who made threats against California’s Capitol on Thursday shot a gun from his vehicle while driving through two Sacramento suburbs the night before. The California Highway Patrol says no one was injured in either of those shootings. The threat forced California’s Assembly to cut its Thursday session short. Senators evacuated to work in a new location. The California Highway Patrol has not shared details about the substance of the threat against the Capitol and how it was made. The police department and highway patrol named 30-year-old Jackson Pinney as the suspect. It wasn’t clear if Pinney had an attorney to speak on his behalf.
