BRUSSELS (AP) — Geert Wilders provided a major boost to Europe’s far-right populists with his election win in the Netherlands. Suddenly on Thursday they felt there was hope in the air again. Especially with a European Parliament election coming up in June. The far right has been buoyed by Wilders’ win and now hopes to gain ground on a continent where Russia’s war in Ukraine, chaotic and deadly migration on its borders and spreading poverty because of inflation has turned any election into a tough test where the outcome is never a given.
