Second daily flight to arrive at Pocatello Regional Airport Tuesday

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - On Tuesday, Sept. 5, Pocatello Regional Airport will be hosting a ribbon cutting by the Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce Chiefs to celebrate the first arrival of the new second daily flight on Delta Air Lines.

The new flight will expand service to Salt Lake City by providing a larger aircraft with premium seating options as well as an additional flight time.

“We are excited to welcome the second daily flight between Pocatello and Salt Lake City. The increase in frequency provides the convenience of shorter layovers and the change in aircraft provides greater on-board comfort including a first-class cabin. We invite the community to join us at the ribbon cutting and help us welcome the new flight,” Airport Manager Alan Evans said.

You are invited to attend the event beginning at 12:15 p.m. with the ribbon cutting taking place at approximately 12:44 p.m. upon the landing of the flight.

The Pocatello Regional Airport also issued a notice saying there will be a temporary flight restriction in effect for Pocatello air space on Tuesday from 3:05 p.m. to 3:32 p.m. local time due to the re-entry of a spacecraft that will travel across our air space. No operations will be allowed during that time.
