United Way of Southeastern Idaho needs donations for annual Coat for Kids Drive

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - The United Way of Southeastern Idaho, its Women United affinity group, and the Pocatello-Chubbuck Head Start Program is teaming up again to provide winter coats for local children in need.

“We are determined to ensure that every child in the Pocatello-Chubbuck Head Start program experiences warmth and comfort this winter,” United Way Director of Donor and Community Engagement Wendi Ames said. “We all remember how frigid and prolonged last winter was. Let’s work together to help these children stay warm.”

The total need is $8,000, which will be used to provide a warm coat or winter boots for a child in need.

A $35 donation provides one warm coat or winter boots to a child in need. A $70 donation ensures that two children stay warm this winter.

You can visit unitedwaysei.org/coats-kids to donate.

Contact Ames at wendi@unitedwaysei.org with any questions.
