Optum Idaho gives back to American Falls School District

AMERICAN FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Students in American Falls will have the basic essentials they need as we approach winter.

On Monday, representatives from Optum Idaho delivered all-inclusive boxes to the school district office in American Falls.

The boxes will go toward helping students at Hillcrest Elementary School.

Optum is currently holding its Community Matters campaign, where they are giving back to 10 different schools across the state.

The campaign is an expansion to their Give Cold Feet the Boot Drive. Optum's goal is to have more of a holistic impact.

"We have partnered with the State Department of Education and D&B Supply to provide items of clothing, food, school supplies, and shelf stable items that families can use that may be a barrier for students to that early learning and that ability to actually get through a school day and be comfortable," said Optum Community Program Manager Wendy Stoneberg. "So we want to make sure that we're covering those social determinants of health."

Optum will be heading to Harwood Elementary in Rigby on Tuesday to make deliveries. They will also be traveling to Downey Elementary on Wednesday.
