Pocatello’s annual hiring fair scheduled for April 19

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - If you in the market for full-time, summer or seasonal work, stop by the Public Works Annex Friday, April 19 any time from 2 to 7 p.m. for the City’s largest hiring event of the year.

The city is looking to fill dozens of positions including but not limited to Sanitation Operator, Animal Care Specialist, Shop Foreman, Fleet Mechanic, Emergency Communications Officer, Swim Instructor and much more. City of Pocatello employees will be on-site to answer questions about available jobs, demonstrate equipment, give tours, interview some seasonal positions and help fill out applications. Chromebooks will be available for applicants to apply online and/or to upload their resume.

“We are excited to head into the 2024 summer season. The City of Pocatello has so many great opportunities available,” Human Resources Director Heather Buchanan said. “We have a little bit for everyone. Our full-time positions are eligible for City benefits and the State of Idaho pension, while our summer jobs for students are flexible. The City can work around personal schedules.”
