Rexburg police officer drowned in Lake Mead

REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) - A Rexburg police officer drowned in Lake Mead Sunday.

Reserve Officer Aaron Bivens worked primarily as a veterinarian in Nevada but would also assist Rexburg police with its K-9s.

Bivens was from California.

He was well-respected by his colleagues.

The department expressed condolences for his family on its Facebook page.
