ISU names Business dean
POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK)-Arkansas State University professor Shane Hunt has been named the new dean of the College of Business at Idaho State University.
ISU launched a national search to fill the position last spring. He will take over the job in 2020.
Hunt has 12 years of experience, includinga stint as dean of the College of Business at Arkansas State University. Hunt is currently a professor of sales leadership and marketing.
"Dr. Hunt's experience and knowledge will serve Idaho State well," Laura Woodworth-Ney, executive vice president and provost said. "He will bring to this position an enthusiastic, student-centered model of excellence. We are very excited to welcome him to the Bengal family."
Hunt holds a Ph.D. in marketing from Oklahoma State University and an MBA and a BBA from the University of Oklahoma. He has won numerous teaching awards, and his research has appeared in The Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, The Journal of Business Logistics, and he is the author of two leading "Principles of Marketing" textbooks.
