AMMON, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK)-A man acting suspiciously inside Bodifi, the former World Gym in Idaho Falls, was the subject of a Bonneville County Sheriff's Department investigation Sunday.

Deputies from the Ammon Division were called to the business after someone there reported the man had been in the bathroom for a long time and suspected he was using illegal drugs.

Deputies questioned the suspect as he was leaving the parking lot in his vehicle. He was identified as 31-year-old Alexander Chernoff.

Chernoff admitted to being inside the business, but denied using or possessing any illegal drugs. A K-9 deputy arrived and sniffed around Chernoff's vehicle and alerted to the possibility of illegal drugs.

A search of the vehicle turned up a plastic baggie containing just over 2 grams of Methamphetamine.

Deputies later found 1 1/2 grams of marijuana on his person. Chernoff was booked on charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
