3 things to know this morning – August 7, 2023

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Here's what you should know to start your Monday.

1. The city of Roberts is once again under a "Do Not Drink" and a "Do Not Boil" order as of yesterday morning. The city says they noticed a water source change when the leading well experienced a mechanical failure, which could allow for contamination in the water.

2. Fire crews say they are making good progress on containing the Hayden Fire. The fire is 77% contained, burning just over 24,000 acres. Crews are focused on strengthening the existing fire lines and looking for potential increased fire activity.

3. If your home or business was damaged in the May 23rd rain and flooding, you could get disaster assistance. The small business administration in Idaho Falls is offering low-interest disaster loans for people in affected counties. Businesses, homeowners, and renters who had losses because of the extreme weather can apply here.
