3 things to know this morning – August 10, 2023

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Here's what you should know to start your Thursday.

1. Idaho State Police is investigating a crash involving multiple vehicles that killed two people from Idaho Falls. It happened on I-15 around 2 p.m yesterday. Troopers say a dump-truck struck 3 vehicles. A man and woman in a Toyota Avalon were taken to a hospital where they died from their injuries.

2. Starting today, the Idaho Transportation Department will start resurfacing Sunnyside Road from the Interstate to Yellowstone Avenue and Yellowstone Avenue from Sunnyside Road to Lomax Street. Most of the work will be done overnight between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. This project is expected to finish by late September. 

3.  A new grizzly bear documentary, 'On Grizzly Ground', will debut today in Idaho Falls. The new film showcases perspectives from tribes, tourists, scientists, and activists as they consider the future of the federally protected animals. The premiere will be shown tonight at the Colonial Theater at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15.
