3 things to know this morning – August 28, 2023

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Here's what you should know to start your Monday.

1. The defense for Bryan Kohberger is now asking for no cameras in the courtroom for the rest of the case, including the trial. The judge had originally ordered that camera shots not be focused exclusively on Kohberger or on any documents on the defense table. The defense attorneys say that's not being followed.

2. The Hayden Fire near Leadore has been contained and passed back to the management of the Salmon-Challis National Forest Service. Fire managers say the only thing left is  a contained smoldering area. All fire restrictions and evacuation zones have been lifted.

3. The Pocatello Street Operations crew is set to begin fog sealing starting today. Lanes and roads will be closed while they are working, with restricted access to residents. No parking will be allowed from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. or until the work is complete. Different roads are scheduled for fog sealing throughout the week ending on Thursday.
