3 things to know this morning – October 24, 2023

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Here's what you should know to start your Tuesday.

1. Early voting for the November election is underway. Local elected officials can have a profound impact on quality of life and community. If you are wanting to vote via mail, you can get an absentee ballot before the Friday deadline. Absentee ballots are due to local county election offices by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

2.  Voters in Blackfoot will soon get the chance to meet their candidates for city council. Tomorrow and Thursday, the Blackfoot Chamber of Commerce is hosting a candidate forum. Tomorrow's forum will be held at the Senior Center on East Pacific St at 5:30 p.m. Thursday's will be at the Blackfoot Library on North Broadway St at 7 p.m. 

3. The Idaho Falls Regional Airport is going to start an expansion project next March. It will add 18,000 square feet. The expansion will see improvements to systems mostly behind the scenes, like the TSA checked baggage screening area. The ticketing area will also see some expansion work.
