Idaho State University will host “Idaho After Graduation” on Wednesday

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - On November 8th, southeast Idaho and the Pocatello area will host an inaugural event called “Idaho After Graduation" that offers attendees information about college programs, career technical training, military service opportunities, and much more.

The event will take place on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Idaho State University in the Student Union Building ballroom on the second floor.

The goal is to bring together many different representatives and offerings that will inform and inspire a population ranging from high school students to those who seek a job or career reset. Those who attend will have flexibility to circulate throughout the tables, have their questions answered, pick up information and brochures, make connections with college and career professionals, and get guidance on the application process for colleges or training programs. In addition, there will be sessions throughout the evening that will give an introduction to financial aid and assist attendees in establishing their FSAIDs (Federal Student Aid IDs).

More than thirty institutions and organizations have committed to presenting on November 8th. There will be a number of raffles available to those who attend (college and military swag, items from local businesses), and one lucky high school senior will receive a scholarship to assist with the cost of college or training.

For more information about Idaho After Graduation, contact any of the college career advisors at Pocatello, Century, New Horizons, or Highland High Schools.
